Most painful post ever!

Those who follow me on Twitter and Facebook know of the painful dilemma I face.

Both of my hands have been put in braces, I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Ow, this hurts

My hands must move across the keyboard to peck each key.

Hunting and pecking.

Oh, the agony! Which to choose: continue typing in the slowest fashion ever, or heal?

Slowest typist

The dilemmas a writer must face.

I will do my best to type and heal at the same time.

  1. I am proud of you for working through it! Don’t let it hold you back!

You would laugh if you see how slow I’m typing and the dramatic face expression. I’m thinking of having the kids type for me. We can count it as keyboard skills for school. 🙂

  2. Oh, that looks painful. I hope you feel better soon, Mari.

Have you looked into word recognition software where you narrate into a headset? I haven’t tried it but have heard it mentioned before

  4. Peck-typing isn’t hurting you more, is it? If so, I highly suggest taking a break. I know that isn’t something writers like to hear, but think about it. If you keep going, you could irreversibly damage yourself, and then you couldn’t write at all. Isn’t a brief break better than forcing yourself into a permanent break?
